Description:

• Aktos is a seed-stage, Vertical SaaS Fintech startup seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a 70/30 backend focus.
• The engineer will contribute to building the Operating System for the $18B Credit Collections industry.
• Credit Collectors play a vital role in the financial ecosystem by helping consumers settle debts and improve credit scores.
• The company aims to create a modern software platform that enhances the credit recovery process for Collectors and their clients.
• The team is composed of experienced Product and Engineering leaders from notable companies like Zenefits, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, Google, Apple, Amazon, WeWork, and Flatiron Health.
• The technology stack includes ReactJS, Redux, RTK Query for the frontend, and Django, DRF, Postgres for the backend, along with DevOps tools like Docker, Github Actions, Terraform, and AWS.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with the CEO, CTO, and other engineers to develop full stack features, taking ownership of work, refining SDLC & CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining AWS infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience.
• Professional experience with Python for at least 5 years is required.
• Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience with Django.
• Experience with JavaScript, particularly React/Redux, is preferred.
• A strong understanding and practical experience with a relational database management system (RDBMS), preferably Postgres, is necessary.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, with Terraform experience preferred, is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable working across the full stack.
• A solid foundation in engineering principles and a passion for writing high-quality code are essential.
• Product intuition, user empathy, and the ability to make sound UX decisions are important.
• A strong work ethic and an end-to-end ownership mentality are required.
