Description:

  • The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Business System IT department.
  • The role includes developing and maintaining applications that support various company business departments such as Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, and Project Controls using an Agile development methodology.
  • Responsibilities also include developing interfaces between enterprise systems and in-house applications.
  • The candidate will perform initial developer testing and work with customers and Business Analysts to resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing.
  • Support for QA Analysts in developing fully documented test plans is also required.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have demonstrated experience and success in application development, test plan development, testing, production turnover, and documentation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Java developer is required, with proficiency in Java, Servlets, JSPs, Maven, Eclipse, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL data manipulation, and secure coding techniques.
  • Preferred but not required experience includes jQuery, Tomcat, and Open Source Libraries.
  • Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, an Associate's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with teamwork skills in a highly matrixed project environment.
