The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Business System IT department.
The role includes developing and maintaining applications that support various company business departments such as Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, and Project Controls using an Agile development methodology.
Responsibilities also include developing interfaces between enterprise systems and in-house applications.
The candidate will perform initial developer testing and work with customers and Business Analysts to resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing.
Support for QA Analysts in developing fully documented test plans is also required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrated experience and success in application development, test plan development, testing, production turnover, and documentation.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Java developer is required, with proficiency in Java, Servlets, JSPs, Maven, Eclipse, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL data manipulation, and secure coding techniques.
Preferred but not required experience includes jQuery, Tomcat, and Open Source Libraries.
Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, an Associate's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with teamwork skills in a highly matrixed project environment.
