Description:

MAXISIQ seeks a Junior Security Engineer to support DoD, RMF, and ICD 503, applying security engineering principles and technical expertise.
Responsibilities include system hardening, automation, and vulnerability remediation, with a focus on NIST SP 800-53 security controls.

Requirements:

5+ years as an Information Systems Security Engineer or Security Engineer with RMF experience.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity tools (ACAS, DISA STIGs/SCAPs/CIS Benchmarks) and hands-on experience with vulnerability management across multiple OS.
Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible) and scripting (Python/Bash).
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/ESXi) and container technologies (Docker).
Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Security Architect certifications per DoD Directive 8140.01 (e.g., CompTIA CASP, Cisco CCSP, SANS GSEC).
