Description:

Qodea is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Managed Services team.
The role involves designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform services and products.
Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure code, and managing cloud infrastructure deployment and automation.
The engineer will implement security controls, monitor cloud infrastructure for performance and security issues, and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
The position requires proactive management of customer-related tasks, providing technical support, and mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an excellent understanding of Google Cloud Platform architecture and services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Build.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible, as well as containerization tools like Docker, is required.
Proficiency in coding using Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages is necessary.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a cloud environment or on Linux distribution systems is essential.
The ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis is expected.
Candidates should already be, or have the desire to be, professionally certified in Google Cloud.
