Description:
- Seeking a hands-on PostgreSQL DBA to manage database services across on-premises infrastructure and GCP.
- Responsibilities include production operations, migration from Community PostgreSQL to EDB Postgres, high-availability standardization, database consolidation, and operational automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration in production environments.
- Experience with EDB Postgres, EFM, Barman, PEM, TPA, and PostgreSQL monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL HA design, streaming replication, and backup validation.
- Proficient in SQL performance tuning, Linux administration, Ansible, Git, and cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
Benefits:
- Full-time remote position based in the U.K.
- Target compensation package between GBP 50,000 and 54,000, subject to internal equity and experience.
