Description:

Fully remote Principal Backend Engineer position at The Multiplayer Group (MPG) for UK or EU based candidates.
Responsible for delivering and deploying backend services for game projects, collaborating with clients and engineering teams.

Requirements:

Experience in game development with multiple shipped live games.
Proven experience architecting distributed applications for high concurrent user bases.
Proficiency in at least one of Java, Golang, C#, C++, Kotlin; familiarity with Python, Node.js, and React is a plus.
Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure); AWS Certification is advantageous.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
Strong communication skills to discuss technical strategies with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of security implications in technology choices and experience with Gen AI for code generation.
