Description:
- Founding engineering leader for Onyx Capital Group's Sri Lanka hub, reporting to the CTO in London.
- Responsible for building, scaling, and technically leading a team from 4–5 engineers to 10+.
Requirements:
- 10–15+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in building and growing engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Python, React.js, or C#; active contributor to production codebases.
- Strong understanding of OOP fundamentals and design patterns.
- Champion of Test-Driven Development practices.
- Fluency in architecture and system design, with REST API design experience.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
- Required cloud platform experience in Azure; AWS is a plus.
- Strong hiring and team-building skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Exceptional written and spoken English.
- Experience with global, distributed engineering teams.
