Description:

  • GitLab seeks a Principal Field Security Engineer to address complex customer security challenges, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Responsibilities include customer engagement, contract review, security content creation, and strategic initiatives to enhance security practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in information security, with 5+ years in customer-facing roles.
  • Deep expertise in security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP) and regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proven contract negotiation skills and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps practices; experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
