SMG Swiss Marketplace Group is seeking QA Engineers for their Automotive brands, Autoscout24 and Motoscout24, which are leading online marketplaces in Switzerland.
The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative platforms that connect buyers, sellers, and dealers for vehicles.
QA Engineers will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers globally and contribute to skills in test automation and quality practices.
Responsibilities include acting as the QA voice in agile ceremonies, managing the testing lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product increments.
The position requires performing thorough functionality tests, maintaining a balanced testing strategy with at least 30% automation, and conducting exploratory testing.
QA Engineers will own product quality by working closely with engineering teams to derive testing requirements and provide input during planning sessions.
The role also involves supporting the bug triage process by reproducing bugs, isolating problems, verifying fixes, and tracking incidents.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a QA or software testing role is necessary.
Good hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, testing UI responsive web applications (preferably React), and database testing (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) is essential.
Understanding of automation testing concepts and ability to perform automation testing using Cypress or Playwright is required.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving are important.
A strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality is expected.
Candidates should be willing to take on new challenges proactively.
Nice-to-have qualifications include a strong understanding of basic programming concepts, experience with CI/CD pipelines, mobile testing experience, and knowledge of security testing principles.
