Description:

  • Accesa is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Cloud Tech Lead to drive extensibility and development across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscapes, focusing on the Utilities sector.
  • The role requires a combination of hands-on ABAP Cloud and RAP expertise along with technical leadership, guiding a team of developers and setting engineering standards.
  • Responsibilities include defining clean-core extensibility strategies, designing SAP Fiori/UI5 solutions, architecting robust integrations, enforcing high engineering standards, ensuring system performance, and mentoring developers.
  • The position emphasizes the importance of delivering high-performance, future-proof solutions that support critical Utilities business processes.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have over 10 years of professional software engineering experience with ABAP in SAP S/4HANA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building ABAP Cloud extensions using RAP, CDS, and released APIs in SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA is required.
  • Strong experience with behavior definitions, EML, CDS views, RAP services, and UI development using SAP Fiori elements/UI5 is essential.
  • A fit-to-standard mindset focusing on clean-core extensibility and avoiding classic modifications is necessary.
  • Solid background in integration technologies such as OData, REST, SOAP, and API Management is required.
  • Expertise in testing, CI/CD, and security practices is essential, along with knowledge of compliance and performance tuning.
  • Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP, domain expertise in Utilities, and familiarity with SAP AI services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and raise engineering standards are also required.
