Description:

The position is for a SAP BASIS Technical Lead within the Government of Manitoba’s Digital and Technology Services team.
The role involves leading SAP BASIS infrastructure efforts to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
The candidate will guide a team of administrators in a large-scale ERP environment.
Responsibilities include leading SAP BASIS administration and infrastructure management, ensuring system performance, availability, and security, and mentoring BASIS team members.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams on ERP projects, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and creating reports and status updates for stakeholders.
The candidate will support project planning and execution using project management methodologies, maintain documentation and compliance standards, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
The position requires the ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
The candidate must have 7+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration.
A minimum of 7+ years in business/system analysis and solution architecture is necessary.
The candidate should have 7+ years of experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other modules.
Proficiency in Sybase/ASE and Microsoft Office tools for at least 7+ years is required.
The candidate must have 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role managing teams.
Experience in large ERP programs and the public sector is essential.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
The ability to work independently and with diverse teams is necessary.
