Description:
- The position is for a Senior Backend Engineer at Ahoy, focusing on building scalable backend systems that power real-world products.
- The engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining production-ready backend services.
- They will design APIs and ensure system scalability and performance.
- The role involves working with technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS (including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, etc.).
- Collaboration with product, design, and cross-functional teams is essential.
- The engineer will ensure quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and clean architecture.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 4 or more years of backend development experience, specifically with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with AWS and microservices is required.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and REST/GraphQL APIs is necessary.
- A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and secure code is essential.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is considered a plus.
