Remote Senior Backend Engineer-Payments

Description:

• Join an international broker focusing on payments across Asia, Africa, LATAM, and the Middle East.
• Own the connector layer and downstream processes, building a canonical adapter layer for payment providers.
• Collaborate with the orchestration platform team to define and review required behaviors.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in backend engineering with strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Production experience with payment systems including authorization, callbacks, and reconciliation.
• Practical understanding of idempotency, asynchronous status handling, and transaction state machines.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and resolving documentation issues.
• Ability to own a service, making architecture decisions and root cause fixes.
• Proficient in English and Russian at a working communicative level.
• Preferred: Exposure to .NET, experience with APM and local rails, and familiarity with event-driven patterns.
