Description:

The SmartRecruiters Internal Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen and expand their infrastructure team.
The role involves cooperating closely with other Platform and Engineering teams on strategic initiatives.
The engineer will improve, automate, and grow the SmartRecruiters cloud platform.
Responsibilities include responding to client threats and remediating issues.
The engineer will support the engineering team in taking ownership of related infrastructure components.
They will create base building blocks of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to be reused company-wide.
Mentoring members of the engineering team is also a key responsibility.
The engineer will document standards, best practices, and policies.

Requirements:

While not strictly required, most Senior Engineers have 5+ years of professional experience.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Experience with AWS (or other cloud providers), Kubernetes, and IaC tools and practices is necessary.
A proven track record of delivering solutions for infrastructure and container management is required.
Deep knowledge of the Linux operating system, focusing on system hardening and troubleshooting performance issues, is essential.
Very good scripting skills in Bash and Python are required; coding experience in Golang or Java is a plus.
A solid understanding of networking standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing, is necessary.
Experience managing database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, is a plus.
Strong communication skills, with a good understanding of English, both verbal and written, are required.
