Description:

  • The Data Engineering team at TRACTIAN is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that handles massive datasets flowing through the company's systems.
  • This department ensures the availability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines, enabling seamless access and processing of both real-time and historical data.
  • The core objective of the team is to architect robust, fault-tolerant data systems that support everything from analytics to machine learning, ensuring that the right data is in the right place, at the right time.
  • As a Data Engineer, you will build data pipelines that enable data extraction, loading, and transformation for various contexts.
  • The goal is to create a reliable, available, and trustworthy system that underpins the entire analytics pipeline.
  • You will face challenges that may vary from large datasets to high data throughput systems, utilizing a diverse set of techniques for data handling.
  • You will also lead initiatives focused on data pipeline reliability and observability.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced English proficiency is necessary.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics is required.
  • Candidates must be highly experienced in SQL and database management systems such as PostgreSQL and Clickhouse.
  • A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt) is essential.
  • Strong experience with programming languages such as Python and familiarity with modern data stack tools for data engineering (e.g., DuckDb, Polars) is required.
  • Experience with streaming tools (e.g., Kafka) is necessary.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like AWS Redshift is required.
  • Experience with GoLang or Rust is considered a plus.
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana) is also a plus.
