Description:
- Senior Data Engineers at Velir manage and leverage data for client organizations, focusing on data architecture, warehousing, quality assurance, scalability, performance optimization, and security.
- They lead data engineering projects, mentor team members, and ensure alignment with business outcomes while communicating effectively in English.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with Scala and Rust is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Proficiency in data integration/orchestration platforms (e.g., Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience mentoring other engineers.
