Description:

  • Join The New York Times as a Senior Software Engineer in the Developer Platforms team, focusing on GenAI-augmented developer experiences.
  • Build tools and capabilities to enhance developer workflows and support over 750 engineers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years improving developer experience through workflows and internal platform capabilities.
  • Experience designing and building cloud-native applications, preferably in Golang.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI tools like GitHub's Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Preferred: 3+ years managing AWS resources, 2+ years with Kubernetes, and experience in prompt engineering.

Benefits:

  • Annual base pay range: $140,000 - $180,000 USD.
  • Additional compensation may include bonuses and stock options.
