Description:

Yazio is seeking a product-minded Senior Mobile Engineer to join one of their core squads and build features that empower millions of users on their wellness journey.
This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the U.K.
The engineer will partner closely with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and Designer to shape the product using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) stack.
Responsibilities include owning features end-to-end, from technical design to deployment, writing clean and maintainable code, ensuring high test coverage, and monitoring production impact.
The engineer will contribute to the product vision by providing technical insights, weighing trade-offs, and helping shape an ambitious yet achievable roadmap.
The role involves championing technical excellence by managing technical debt, improving performance, and driving modern practices within the Kotlin Multiplatform architecture.
The engineer will also mentor other engineers, lead by example with code reviews, improve team processes, and share knowledge to foster growth.

Requirements:

Candidates must have significant experience in modern mobile development, particularly in building native mobile apps on Android using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Experience with iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI is a plus.
A strong passion for user experience and understanding the "why" behind the product is essential.
Candidates should be pragmatic and results-oriented, maintaining high standards for code quality while making necessary trade-offs to deliver value to users.
The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, giving and receiving feedback graciously, is required.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical partners.
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform is a significant advantage, but a strong foundation in native development and a willingness to learn are most important.
