Our client is a stable IT service and product development company, serving reputable clients across Europe and developing innovative projects on the long-term run.
As the team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer for a fully remote role, or based in Varna, hybrid or on-site.
You will be responsible for maintaining a legacy API built with CakePHP 2 and developing new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
You will maintain and enhance legacy APIs built with CakePHP 2.
You will design and develop new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
You will write and maintain unit and Behat tests to ensure code quality.
You will collaborate with team members in an agile SCRUM environment.
You will deploy and monitor applications using Docker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You will work with PostgreSQL databases and Pub/Sub messaging services.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.
Strong experience with PHP 8.3 and modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony and API Platform is required.
Experience maintaining legacy codebases, particularly with CakePHP 2, is preferred.
Familiarity with Docker, GCP, and microservice architecture is necessary.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub is required.
Experience writing unit tests and Behat tests is essential.
A good understanding of agile/SCRUM development practices is expected.
