As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead the modernization of the technology stack and foster a data-driven culture.
Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing backend systems using MySQL and Python.
You will collaborate with web development teams for seamless integration and implement data engineering concepts for decision-making.
This role is high visibility, allowing you to shape the company's future direction.
The position is fully remote but candidates must be located in Argentina, Brazil, or Colombia.
This is a long-term Independent Contractor position.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
You must have 5+ years of enterprise-level experience coding in Python and building Python-based web applications.
A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience working with MySQL or other SQL databases is necessary.
You should have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in web development, specifically in Python backend development.
Experience with building and consuming APIs for at least 3+ years is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
