Remote Senior QA Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our fast-paced, globally distributed engineering team.
• This role will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and cloud-based applications.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation frameworks, and Agile processes, with experience working in distributed environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native application testing is a significant advantage.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• The candidate will collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to understand requirements and design comprehensive test strategies.
• The role involves owning the QA process across the software development lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
• The engineer will identify, log, and track bugs through resolution in coordination with engineering teams.
• Mentoring junior QA engineers and contributing to QA best practices across the organization is expected.
• The candidate will work closely with CI/CD pipelines to ensure early detection of issues.
• Responsibilities also include maintaining test environments, staging configurations, and data management strategies.
• The engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and help mentor junior QA staff.
• Developing a strategy and leading the adoption of automation initiatives for functional, regression, and integration testing is required.
• Ensuring testing aligns with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST) is essential.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing is required.
• A strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit) is necessary.
• Experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is essential.
• Solid experience with version control systems like Git is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• The candidate must have a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential.
