• Reedsy is seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer to join their team remotely from anywhere in Europe.

• The role involves building a supportive ecosystem for writers and developing various products, including a marketplace, book discovery platform, writing app, central authentication system, and email marketing app.
• Responsibilities include architecting and developing highly scalable web applications, collaborating with designers and engineers to create new features, evaluating and improving application performance, durability, and security, taking ownership of tasks from start to finish, and building RESTful APIs.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails at a production level.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis) databases is required.
• Proficiency in unit tests (RSpec) and QA testing tools and techniques is necessary.
• Advanced knowledge of Git is essential.
• A strong emphasis on Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns is required.
• Candidates must be perfectly fluent in English and possess great communication skills.
• Experience working remotely is a must.
