  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the software engineering team, leading the development of core backend components for the blockchain network.
  • Your focus will be on networking, reliability, and scalability.
  • Primary responsibilities include designing and coding core backend software components primarily in Rust.
  • You will leverage your extensive experience to ensure the creation, testing, debugging, and deployment of production-grade components.
  • Your role will also involve maintaining and enhancing high-quality software engineering practices within a prominent open-source project.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience in designing, testing, and implementing scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with a low-level programming language such as Rust, C, C++, or Zig is necessary.
  • You should have experience in systems programming, with strong signals including experience writing compilers, operating systems, kernels, or machine simulators.
  • A proven track record of writing correct, reliable software is essential, and you must have worked on and deployed software changes used by people.
  • The ideal candidate is creative, independent, and a collaborative team player, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active participation in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Blockchain projects, or the open-source community is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • The base salary range for this full-time position is $120k - $260k, reflecting the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries based in New York.
  • The salary range may be higher for exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience.
  • Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills demonstrated during interviews, working experience, and relevant education or training.
