As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the software engineering team, leading the development of core backend components for the blockchain network.
Your focus will be on networking, reliability, and scalability.
Primary responsibilities include designing and coding core backend software components primarily in Rust.
You will leverage your extensive experience to ensure the creation, testing, debugging, and deployment of production-grade components.
Your role will also involve maintaining and enhancing high-quality software engineering practices within a prominent open-source project.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
You must have 5+ years of experience in designing, testing, and implementing scalable backend systems.
Experience with a low-level programming language such as Rust, C, C++, or Zig is necessary.
You should have experience in systems programming, with strong signals including experience writing compilers, operating systems, kernels, or machine simulators.
A proven track record of writing correct, reliable software is essential, and you must have worked on and deployed software changes used by people.
The ideal candidate is creative, independent, and a collaborative team player, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Active participation in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Blockchain projects, or the open-source community is highly desirable.
Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120k - $260k, reflecting the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries based in New York.
The salary range may be higher for exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience.
Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills demonstrated during interviews, working experience, and relevant education or training.
