Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for brain disorders through an at-home EEG platform and comprehensive diagnostics.
Seeking a fully remote Senior Software Engineer for the Datastore team, focusing on backend systems for data infrastructure, including PostgreSQL, Kafka, and GraphQL API.

Requirements:

5+ years of backend development experience, with 2+ years on data platforms and backend infrastructure.
Strong SQL proficiency and experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with data streaming/event processing (Kafka or equivalent).
Proficiency in Julia or Python; Julia experience is a plus.
Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes, IaC tools like Terraform).
Familiarity with GraphQL and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js).
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Self-directed with experience in remote teams.

Salary range: $150,000 – $170,000, adjusted for experience and location.
Total compensation includes equity, PTO, and other benefits.
Robust asynchronous work practices for a first-class remote experience, with optional in-person office hubs in Boston, New York, and Paris.
