Remote Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

Description:

• Build and operate self-serve ETL/ELT frameworks for batch and streaming workloads.
• Drive the technical roadmap for the data platform, including integration patterns and standards.
• Collaborate with various teams to design data contracts and scale ingestion.
• Architect data lineage, schema registry, and access controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and resolve incidents across the data platform.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code and design reviews.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in building and operating data infrastructure in production.
• Strong system design skills with experience in writing design documents.
• Proficiency in Python or Java/Kotlin, with a focus on testing and code quality.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Familiarity with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis) and data modeling frameworks (dbt).
• Experience in regulated environments with a focus on data governance and access control.
