Description:

Restream is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join the Upload & Stream Team to solve complex challenges and build world-class products.
In this role, you will build new features, develop the user interface of our product, and improve the reliability of our systems as we scale.
You will collaborate with a team of Engineers to drive processes and enhance user-facing features.
You understand the importance of simplicity and reliability, and you calculate the impact of every decision on each.

Responsibilities include crafting beautiful interfaces and interactions in Restream web services, designing and implementing the UI and business logic necessary to support new and existing features, partnering with a product designer to build great and user-friendly UI/UX, giving and receiving code review feedback with the team, and maintaining a pulse on emerging technologies to discover hidden opportunities.

Requirements:

A scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude that gets high-quality projects done quickly is essential.
Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and a strive for an excellent user experience are required.
Solid knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and newer specifications of ECMAScript is necessary, with experience in other programming languages being a plus.
Expertise in React and its major state management systems is required.
Experience with CSS preprocessors like LESS or SASS is necessary.
Basic backend skills in Node.JS, building REST APIs, and working with relational or NoSQL databases are required.
Comfort with TypeScript, MobX, AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment workflow is necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
The candidate should be self-directed, analytical, and able to work well in a team environment.
