Description:

KoBold is seeking Senior Software Engineers to enhance mineral exploration through AI models and novel sensors.
The role involves direct engagement with users, including exploration geologists and data scientists, to develop technology solutions tailored to their needs.
Engineers will work on making mineral exploration data accessible to both humans and machines, tackling technical challenges in the process.
Responsibilities include building data pipelines, leading small teams, and owning projects from design to implementation.
The position requires collaboration with a diverse team to unlock insights and streamline scientific processes in mineral exploration.
The tech stack primarily includes Python, Django, React, and AWS, among other technologies.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in building production cloud data systems.
Proficiency in Python is required, along with the ability to write production-quality, scalable, and well-tested code.
Experience in large-scale system design and a proven track record of project ownership and delivery is essential.
Candidates should possess intellectual curiosity about mineral exploration and be willing to work directly with geologists.
Strong communication skills are necessary to explain technical problems and collaborate with non-developer domain experts.

A desire to align technical product development with business objectives is important.
Nice to have skills include experience with React, geospatial data, containerization, and a background in natural sciences.

The US base salary range for this full-time exempt position is $175,000 - $210,000.
The position is remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the United States or Canada.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
