Remote Senior Software Engineer (Night Shift)

• The backend is built on PHP, MySQL, and increasingly Node JS microservices, exposed via REST API.
• The frontend is built with React, React-native, and redux in web and mobile applications.
• Services are built and deployed using Docker containers managed by Kubernetes.
• Responsibilities include service observability, monitoring, alerts, and maintaining SLI/SLO.
• The engineer will work closely with the engineering team, Product Management, UX, and customers to ensure impactful features are built and delivered.
• The role also involves assisting in preparing technical specifications as a team and bringing fresh ideas on how technology can solve big problems.
• The working hours are from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (BD Time).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in backend development.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in reactJS is required.
• A strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6, React, and React-native is necessary.
• Candidates should have backend web experience with languages such as NodeJS, NestJs, PHP, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, specifically MySQL, is a plus.
• The ability to write clean, standards-compliant HTML and CSS is required, with preprocessor experience (LESS/SASS) being a plus.
• A strong focus and experience in Test Driven Development is essential.
• Familiarity with the Git version control system is required.
• Knowledge of Linux or other Unix-based systems (Ubuntu/Debian is a plus) is necessary.
• Experience with Web Services-based solutions, specifically REST, is required.
• Candidates should have experience with Microservice architecture and Mobile Applications (react-native).
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (RabbitMQ/Kafka) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Software Observability (Application Performance Monitoring) is a plus.
• A broad technical knowledge is sought, with the ability to tie together technologies to solve significant problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• The ability to work well with others as part of a team and across teams is required.
• Candidates should be able to break down larger initiatives into manageable pieces.
• Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
• A willingness to work from 1 PM to 10 PM BD time is necessary.
• A B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from a reputed University or equivalent practical experience is required.
