The successful candidate will be one of the first engineers to join the company, working on a product and codebase that is already functional with hundreds of customers processing thousands of dollars every month.

Responsibilities include working closely with the team to scope and prioritize new features, writing modular and maintainable code, creating frameworks for AI coding agents, and monitoring the production environment to resolve bugs.
Remote work requires at least 5 hours of overlap with New York, NY, USA.
Ideal candidates will appreciate working with Typescript, enjoy writing high-quality code, want to influence product direction, thrive in autonomous environments, and are willing to explore unfamiliar technologies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong background working with Typescript or similar typed languages.
Experience with React or similar frontend component frameworks is required.
Candidates should have experience scaling backend infrastructure and identifying performance bottlenecks.
Strong opinions about well-designed products and an intuition for balancing long-term engineering best practices with rapid iteration are essential.
Empathy for users and a desire to craft delightful user experiences are necessary.
A love for building and experimenting with products is expected.
Bonus points for candidates who have founded a company, have experience with profiling and monitoring NodeJS in production, or have experience building real-time applications.
