1Password is seeking a Senior Staff Cloud Platform Engineer to set the multi-year technical strategy for Infrastructure Services, ensuring cohesive evolution of compute, network, and stateful platforms.
The role involves hands-on responsibilities including writing design documents, prototyping, and managing serious incidents while influencing multiple teams for effective outcomes.

Requirements:

Proven experience in setting technical direction across multiple teams and owning infrastructure strategy.
Expertise in operating Kubernetes at production scale, including multi-cluster and multi-tenant environments.
Strong knowledge in networking, edge services, and stateful data systems.
Experience in defining SLIs, SLOs, and improving incident response and disaster recovery.
Demonstrated ability to reduce cloud costs through engineering initiatives.
Proficiency in security practices and building secure systems by design.
Skilled in programming (Go or similar) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Ability to influence and align teams without relying on authority.
Experience mentoring engineers and shaping technical talent evaluation.
