Description:

  • Join Planet, a company that operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites, delivering data for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors.
  • The Compute Team develops and operates distributed systems for processing satellite imagery, ensuring reliable workflows at scale using Go, Python, and Kubernetes on Google Cloud.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in building services with Go or Python, with a strong interest in both languages.
  • Experience in cloud-native development, containerization, and cloud services (GCP/AWS).
  • Familiarity with large shared codebases, CI/CD workflows, and tools like GitLab CI.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain technical topics clearly.
