Description:

Join Whatnot, the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, as a Software Engineer in the Data team.
Play a critical role in defining technical direction and developing the retrieval platform to enhance product experience and business value.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in software engineering.
Ability to write well-tested, API-driven applications and services that run at scale.
Experience building scalable distributed systems and managing cloud data stores (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Expertise in streaming data systems (e.g., Kafka, Flink) and real-time processing pipelines.
Strong operational support experience, including monitoring and incident management.
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS or Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language (preferably Python).
Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Competitive salary range of $230,000 to $290,000/year + benefits + equity.
