Description:

  • Edpuzzle is a leading edtech company with offices in San Francisco and Barcelona, dedicated to helping teachers create interactive learning experiences.
  • The company is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Product Team in Spain.
  • The role involves working on front-end, mobile, and back-end aspects of the software, including design, creation, maintenance of features, and writing clean, functional, testable, and scalable code.
  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting, debugging, upgrading software, and writing technical documentation.
  • The team values collaboration, communication, and ownership of projects, with a focus on product-oriented solutions.
  • The engineering team works on cross-functional and rotational full-stack projects, allowing engineers to gain exposure to different aspects of the product.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
  • Experience in writing well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code and comfort working across the stack is required.
  • Strong experience in frontend development with React and backend development with Node.js is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to convey ideas effectively to various audiences.
  • Candidates should be pragmatic with technologies, understanding that tech is a tool to solve product problems.
  • A product-oriented mindset is important, making technology decisions with the end user in mind.
  • Candidates should be naturally curious, proactive, and able to work independently while managing time effectively.
  • Proficiency in spoken Spanish and written English is required, as these are the main languages used in day-to-day operations.
  • Candidates must be based in Spain and possess a work permit to work in the country.

Benefits:

  • The salary for this position ranges from €38,000 to €49,000, based on professional experience.
  • The role offers a remote-first work environment within Spain, with the option to use the Barcelona office as desired.
