Remote Software Engineer for Rail IoT Devices (Passenger Information Systems) (m/w/d)

Description:

• Develop software for rail-grade passenger information devices using C++.
• Work with Linux-based systems for configuration, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
• Design solutions for various devices and hardware platforms.
• Contribute to customer projects for major suppliers in the global rail industry.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field (electrotechnical background is a plus).
• Knowledge of software architecture concepts and design patterns for robust, maintainable, and scalable systems.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in C++.
• Solid experience with Linux in system- or device-oriented environments.
• Interest in understanding systems end-to-end, including software-hardware interaction.
• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and team orientation.
• C1-level proficiency in English.
