Remote Software Engineer II, Network Operations

Description:

• Manage and support physical network infrastructure at Marqeta.
• Own and deliver projects aligned with quarterly goals, collaborating with team and cross-functional partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Cisco switches; CCNP certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Palo Alto firewall management and Meraki cloud-managed solutions.
• Experience with VPN technologies and managing network hardware in colocation/data center environments.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for network automation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
