Description:

OpenAI is seeking a Security Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Security (InfraSec) team to safeguard core research and production environments.
The role involves designing and building foundational security services that ensure reliability, scalability, and software craftsmanship in OpenAI's supercomputing environment.

Requirements:

Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++ with experience in high-reliability distributed services.
Experience in building or operating critical security infrastructure (auth services, proxies, key-management systems).
Deep understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
Expertise in securing large-scale cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-agnostic system design.
Familiarity with container security (Kubernetes) and modern authentication standards (OIDC, mTLS).
Proactive mindset for identifying and addressing security gaps through automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
