The Software Engineer will join the Client-facing mobile team to build backend systems for the guest mobile app.
The app enhances guest experience by managing booking details, apartment access, support, maintenance, and personalized services.
Responsibilities include building scalable backend services in Kotlin and Node.js, designing APIs for real-time mobile interactions, and leveraging AI tools.
The tech stack includes Kotlin, Node.js, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, REST, GraphQL, JUnit 5, Spock, AWS, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD.
The team operates in a small, agile, data-driven, customer-obsessed, multi-cultural environment.
The interview process consists of a dialogue with the Talent Acquisition Team, live coding, technical dialogue, and system design discussions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of industry experience in software development.
A strong computer science background is required.
Proficiency in either Kotlin or Node.js is essential.
Strong skills in backend development are necessary, with full-stack experience preferred.
A solid background in relational databases and SQL is required.
Experience in designing REST and GraphQL APIs is necessary.
A testing mindset and attention to clean code are important.
Candidates should be very comfortable with Git.
Excellent communication skills in English are required.
A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field is necessary.
