Description:

  • Join PENN Entertainment as a Software Engineer on the Sportsbook Platform team, responsible for backend systems powering theScore Bet Sportsbook.
  • Work with a tech stack including Elixir, Phoenix, PostgreSQL, Kafka, gRPC, and GraphQL in a collaborative agile environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in computer science.
  • Proficient in production systems, load testing, performance regression remediation, and modern web frameworks (e.g., Phoenix, Ruby on Rails).
  • Experience with GraphQL schema design, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Kubernetes, and background job processing.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for clean code architecture.
