Description:

  • Join the Wikimedia Foundation as a Software Engineer for the Wikidata Platform, supporting the structured data backbone of Wikimedia projects.
  • Help scale and sustain the Wikidata Query Service (WDQS) and related platform services, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a backend or platform engineer with distributed systems or data platforms.
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, or other systems languages; experience with production-grade services and SLOs.
  • Familiarity with modern observability tools and data processing technologies.
  • Strong collaborative skills and commitment to a mission-driven engineering culture.
