Description:

As a Backend Engineer at Oscilar, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of highly reliable, low latency, and scalable services that meet the needs of our global enterprise clients.
Your responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable, high-performance, low-latency backend services using Java and AWS technologies.
You will collaborate with the product management, frontend, and QA teams to define technical requirements and ensure smooth integration with other components of the platform.
You will optimize and enhance existing services to achieve maximum performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the system will be part of your role, ensuring optimal resource utilization and system stability.
You will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Proactively monitoring the health and performance of backend services and taking necessary actions to mitigate potential issues will be essential.
You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
You must have 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on Java and AWS technologies.
Strong experience in building and operating low latency, high scale services in a distributed environment is necessary.
Proficiency in Java programming, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem and related frameworks, is essential.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed data systems (Kafka, Clickhouse) is required.
Familiarity with RESTful API design and a strong understanding of security best practices is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle) and agile development methodologies is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
