Remote Staff Backend Engineer - Submission Processing

Description:

• Kalepa is building AI systems for the insurance industry, focusing on decision-making and automation.
• The Staff Backend Engineer will work on the Submission Processing team, designing systems and making architectural decisions for LLM-based systems that process large amounts of unstructured data.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Experience with LLMs in production and deploying them at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AWS, serverless technologies, and relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project ownership.
• Bonus: experience with document pipelines and processing large data sets.
