Remote Staff Security Engineer, AI & Application Security

Description:

• The Staff Security Engineer, AI & Application Security is the first dedicated security engineering hire at Marcura, responsible for establishing the company's security engineering capability.
• The role encompasses offensive assurance, defensive engineering, secure architecture, and technical governance across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and AI models.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 4 years in hands-on offensive roles (penetration testing, red teaming).
• Proven experience in securing LLM or AI systems, and a track record of finding vulnerabilities in real systems.
• Experience as a founding security hire or building a security capability from scratch.
• Strong defensive engineering experience, including hardening environments and designing access controls.
