Description:

Lead the technical direction of Affirm's Observability team, focusing on the telemetry pipeline architecture and log sampling strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical sustainability and manage risks in product development.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in backend systems development using Python or Kotlin.
Proven track record in building high-availability distributed systems with technologies like AWS, MySQL, Flink, and Kubernetes.
Experience with telemetry systems using OpenTelemetry, Kafka, and Terraform.
Strong understanding of modern observability practices and ability to drive platform standards across teams.
Excellent communication skills and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
