Description:

  • Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Datastore team, focusing on backend systems for data infrastructure, including PostgreSQL data models, Kafka-driven event pipelines, and GraphQL APIs.
  • The role involves leading the design of complex systems, owning data pipelines, and collaborating across teams to implement APIs for clinical studies and digital health products.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years in data platforms and backend infrastructure.
  • Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL, with experience in data streaming and event processing (e.g., Kafka).
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Kubernetes, IaC tools) and proficiency in Julia or Python.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a self-directed approach in remote teams.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $170,000 – $190,000, adjusted based on experience and location.
