Remote Tech Lead (Node&React)

Description:

• This is a remote position open to candidates across Europe, with a hybrid work model available for those based in the Czech Republic.
• OAK’S LAB is a leading product development partner specializing in custom web and mobile application development, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Prague.
• The company has successfully delivered over 65 software products for early-stage startups, scaleups, and global enterprises, employing over 85 team members.
• The product development team is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to manage the technical buildout of products, leading a team of 3-7 engineers.
• The role involves collaborating with a Product Manager and Design Lead, overseeing software architecture, and ensuring technical delivery aligns with client objectives.
• The Tech Lead will also participate in the Engineering Leads Council and the internal AI Guild to share insights and experiment with AI tools.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 2 years in a leadership role and 6 years in engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building web applications using Node.js and React is required.
• Experience in architecting software, particularly for projects from scratch, is a plus.
• Candidates should have experience in setting up and maintaining hosting infrastructure.
• Strong business acumen is preferred, especially experience in early-stage startups.
• A desire to learn new technologies and apply AI in workflows is essential.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for complex technical challenges are required.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
