  • The Technical Lead for the Platform Engineering team will build and maintain foundational systems that power product teams.
  • This senior individual contributor role involves leading the technical direction of the platform, mentoring engineers, and focusing on EMR integrations, caching strategies, and internal tooling support.
  • The role includes owning the design and implementation of core platform services and acting as a force multiplier for engineering across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on platform engineering, integrations, or backend infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining third-party API integrations at scale is required.
  • Proficiency with caching technologies, preferably Redis, and performance optimization strategies is necessary.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js and building backend services is essential.
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead technical initiatives and work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with healthcare integrations, particularly Athena EMR, Epic, or Cerner, and familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, CCD).
  • Experience in building internal developer platforms or shared services, designing systems for high availability and fault tolerance, and understanding HIPAA compliance requirements for healthcare data is also preferred.
