Description:

  • Parity is seeking an Android Mobile Engineer to join their remote-first, global team.
  • The role involves crafting a next-gen digital wallet that is intuitive, secure, and fast, serving as a gateway for users to interact with Polkadot and the decentralized world.
  • Responsibilities include designing and developing a high-performance Android wallet, ensuring a seamless transition between traditional fintech and decentralized technologies, solving challenges related to gas fee optimizations and cross-chain transactions, creating smooth user interfaces, implementing the latest blockchain SDKs, and collaborating with engineers and product managers globally.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have solid experience in Android development using Kotlin.
  • Strong expertise in Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and MVVM architecture is required.
  • A deep understanding of mobile security, encryption, and secure data storage is essential.
  • Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data handling is necessary.
  • A passion for blockchain technology and Web3, or a strong willingness to learn, is expected.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team are required.
  • Bonus points for experience with crypto wallets, DeFi applications, or blockchain-based projects, contributions to open-source Android or Web3 projects, and knowledge of cryptographic principles, Ethereum, or the Polkadot ecosystem.
