Description:
TEECOM is a consulting engineering firm focused on making technology work in buildings, with a strong emphasis on strategic consulting, design, engineering, project management, and enterprise support.
The Associate Principal will lead mid to large-size projects across multiple disciplines, working closely with clients, product manufacturers, contractors, and design team members.
This role requires the individual to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while providing detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
The Associate Principal is expected to delegate tasks effectively, promote teamwork, and mentor junior staff.
Participation in the TEECOMuniversity training program is required, which includes mentoring junior designers and developing course content.
The individual will represent TEECOM's values, deploy technical expertise, solicit client feedback, and develop business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably electrical, is required.
A minimum of six years of experience in physical or electronic security design for facilities construction projects is necessary.
Proficiency in Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite is required.
Certifications such as EIT, PSP, CPP, DCDC, or PE are preferred.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and client requests effectively.
Excellent documentation skills to accurately capture discussions and maintain project records.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex concepts clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and facilitate interactions across various business functions.
Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to creating workable solutions.
Capability to mentor technical staff and manage complex projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $155,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and expertise.
