Description:
The Associate Principal - Security (Mission Critical) is a senior-level engineering role responsible for leading mid to large-size projects that span multiple disciplines.
This position involves working with clients, product manufacturers, contractors, and other design team members to take projects from start to finish with limited direction.
Responsibilities include providing detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and report information to clients, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
The individual is expected to delegate work effectively, promote teamwork, and mentor less senior staff.
Participation in the TEECOMuniversity in-house training program is required, which includes mentoring junior designers and developing new course content.
The role requires representing TEECOM values, deploying technical expertise, making difficult decisions, soliciting client feedback, and developing business opportunities.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education/experience is required.
A minimum of six years of experience in physical security or electronic security systems design for facilities construction projects is necessary.
Proficiency in Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite is required.
Certifications such as PSP and/or CPP are preferred, with CDCDP or DCDC being a plus, and PE certification is also a plus.
The candidate must have a deep knowledge of the AEC industry and experience in datacenters or critical infrastructure facilities is highly preferred.
Strong organizational, documentation, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, software, process-oriented, negotiation, emotional intelligence, mentorship, and management skills are essential.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on role-related skills, experience, knowledge, and subject matter expertise.
