Kraken Technologies Spain is seeking a Backend Developer to contribute to creating a smart, sustainable energy system by optimizing renewable generation, enhancing the grid, and improving customer experiences in the energy industry.
The company has recently acquired the green energy startup Umeme to bring the green energy revolution to the Spanish market.
The role involves solving design challenges related to the complex Spanish energy market, addressing technical problems like processing millions of meter readings daily, and participating in disrupting the energy market with smarter technology.
The selected candidate will work with a global engineering team, using technologies like Python, Django, GraphQL, AWS, React, Redux, and more to develop innovative solutions for the energy sector.

Requirements:

General interest in technology and problem-solving, with diligence and thoughtfulness.
Proficiency in Python, Django (or equivalent web framework), domain modeling, HTTP, REST APIs, writing robust software, Celery, async processing, and Postgres.
Experience with AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul, React, and Redux would be advantageous.
Ability to work in Spain/EU without a VISA.
